Isn’t it weird that 15.8 million pumpkins will go to waste this Halloween, carved but not eaten? That’s enough for 95 million meals! The humble pumpkin is meant to be eaten, but this is often overshadowed by its role as a Jack o’ Lantern – in fact, many people still don’t know carving pumpkins are edible. Now that you do, are you ready to eat yours?
We want to inspire Milton Keynes to 'Eat Your Pumpkin' this Autumn. All events are free. Food is courtesy of Food Connect and MK Community Fridge and events have been funded by Hubbub and Starbucks. Donations are welcome in cash when you visit or you can support our work by going to our fundraising page on Local Giving. To find out more about Hubbub's 'Eat Your Pumpkin' campaign, free recipes and pumpkin tips go to www.hubbub.org.uk/eat-your-pumpkin
